If you're looking for affordable performance mods that actually deliver results on your Ford Bronco, this post is for you. I’m going over the parts I just installed on my Bronco, and I’m excited to share what I found. Stay tuned because next week I’ll be posting a more extensive review and Dragy performance hit video — that’s when I’ll share real-world data and my full thoughts on these upgrades.
I chose the CV Fabrication Cold Air Intake designed specifically for both the 2.3L and 2.7L EcoBoost engines (and other EcoBoost platforms like the Bronco Raptor & Ranger Raptor). This intake outflows the factory setup by 29%, thanks to its washable, reusable 5-layer dry filter that balances performance and filtration. Plus, it keeps your factory hood scoop functional, pulling fresh air directly from the front of the vehicle. The one-piece housing is made from heat-resistant XLPE, so installation is super straightforward — no weird mods needed. It uses all the factory mounting points and comes with premium couplers and clamps for a clean bolt-on experience.
If you're aiming to improve airflow and turbo efficiency on your 2.3L or 2.7L Bronco, the CV Fabrication intercooler piping kit is a must-see. It’s a direct bolt-on upgrade that outflows the factory cold side charge pipe by up to 69%, and the hot side by another 9%. The pipes are made from mandrel-bent aluminum, not stainless steel, which gives you better thermal capacity and about one-third the weight — critical for heat management and responsiveness. The cold side pipe measures 2.75 inches, and the hot side ranges from 2.25 to 2.5 inches, all finished in wrinkle black for a stealthy look. One standout feature is the elimination of the OEM cold side crease, which restricts airflow out of the intercooler. CV Fabrication also includes 1/8" NPT bungs for water or methanol injection setups, offering extra flexibility. The kit comes with spring-loaded T-bolt clamps and 5-ply ultra-resistant couplers designed to fit any stock-fit intercooler, whether aftermarket or OEM — again, no mods required for install.
Over the years, I’ve tested many intercoolers, but the CV Fabrication intercooler really impressed me. It looks great and the price point is very affordable and it's available in silver or black. This intercooler offers a 58% increase in internal core volume and a 144% jump in external fin surface area compared to stock. More airflow means better cooling and efficiency. Its high-flow cast end tanks outperform standard welded aluminum in airflow, and the TIG-welded bar-and-plate construction delivers durability and performance. You can expect gains of +28 horsepower and +45 lb-ft of torque on the dyno without even needing a tune. Plus, CV Fabrication recorded a 31-degree drop in charge air temps — that’s huge for keeping your Bronco cool and consistent under heavy load. Installation is a breeze — a direct bolt-on replacement. The only removal needed is the active grille shutters, but I typically take mine off anyway for better performance.
If you want to upgrade your Bronco’s sound and flow, the CV Fabrication Cruiser Cat-Back Exhaust is one of the best bang-for-your-buck options out there. It fits both 2-door and 4-door models, with versions for 2.3L and 2.7L engines. The kit includes everything you need for install: an exhaust extension for 4-door models and a hanger for the 2.3L setup, so some parts might not be used depending on your Bronco’s configuration. I went with the black 4-inch dual tips, but you can also opt for silver/chrome tips. The exhaust is made from 3-inch mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel, which means durability, corrosion resistance, and improved exhaust flow. Sound-wise, this exhaust delivers a deeper, more aggressive tone than stock — without the annoying drone — thanks to CV Fabrication’s dual muffler design. The primary and secondary mufflers work together to create a clean, tuned exhaust note. You can check out my video for a sound clip.
These CV Fabrication parts check all the boxes for affordable, bolt-on, tune-free performance upgrades that make a real difference for your Bronco. Whether you want to improve airflow, boost cooling, or get a better exhaust note, these mods offer solid gains and great value. And don’t forget — all these parts are available now at BuckleUpOffroad.com.
